Terms and Refund Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
These terms cover any service you book or pay for with Boxed By Bre. By booking or paying, you agree to them. They're written in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email bre@boxedbybre.com before you pay.
What Bre does
Bre helps with software and setup: phones, computers, tablets, TVs, email, accounts, streaming, scam safety, bill evaluations and shopping advice. She doesn't do hardware repairs, like cracked screens or water damage. You stay the owner of your devices and accounts, and you make any purchases yourself, in your name.
Your free video call
New clients start with a free 30-minute video call, so we can both make sure it's a good fit. Bre can decline any job or client before payment. In-person help happens only after that call.
Prices and payment
- You'll know the price before any work starts.
- Payment comes first, before any work is done.
- Visits farther out may have a travel fee. You'll know it ahead of time.
- If Bre brings a device to you, you'll get one total price up front that covers the device, delivery and setup.
Bill evaluation
A bill evaluation is a flat $100. Bre reviews your bill and recommends what to change. Any change is made on a call with your provider, with you on the line and with your permission, and the account stays in your name. Bre never asks for your passwords or date of birth; you give your provider any details they ask for. Savings depend on your provider and plan, so they can't be guaranteed.
Memberships
- Monthly plans renew each month until you cancel. Cancel anytime with the link in your receipt email, or by emailing Bre. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for.
- Unused time doesn't roll over to the next month.
- If you haven't used your plan in 90 days, Bre will send you a reminder.
- The yearly plan is paid up front for 12 months. You'll get a reminder before it renews, and you can cancel anytime before the renewal date.
- Bre replies within 24 hours. Memberships don't include emergency or same-day help.
Refunds
Payments aren't refundable, because Bre sets that time aside for you. If you can't use something you paid for, you can pass it to a family member or friend and Bre will help them instead. If Bre has to cancel a booked visit and can't reschedule, you'll get your money back for that visit.
Questions about a charge
Please email Bre first. Most questions get sorted out quickly. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card company for a service you agreed to and received, we'll share our records of that service with them. That includes your agreement to these terms, your receipts, and Bre's notes and photos of the finished work.
Your part
- Give us accurate information about what you need.
- Back up anything important before a session. Bre can help you do this.
- Keep your passwords and verification codes to yourself. Never send them in a form, text or email.
Safety and respect
Bre can end any visit or call where she doesn't feel safe or respected. If that happens, any unused time can be rescheduled for a family member or friend.
Limits
Bre does her best, but not every tech problem can be fixed. Boxed By Bre isn't responsible for lost data, decisions made by your provider, or problems with products and services made by other companies. If something goes wrong, the most we're responsible for is what you paid for that service.
Store links
Some of Bre's picks link to stores, and some of those links pay Bre a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the version you agreed to when you paid applies to that payment. These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina.
